Heart Rythm Procedures
The Heart Rhythm Section of North Suffolk Cardiology is committed to delivering comprehensive, state of the art, evidence-based care for the treatment of heart rhythm disorders: Our first and foremost priority is to provide our patients with the highest quality standard of care available.
Our services include implantation of cardiac defibrillators, implantation of pacemakers, conduction of electrophysiology studies, and catheter ablation of arrhythmias. In addition, we offer a full spectrum of consultative electrophysiology services. Our heart rhythm team spends the time necessary to educate our patients and their loved ones about all of the options available for managing abnormal heart rhythms. Most of the heart rhythm procedures that we offer require just a single overnight stay in the hospital. In most cases patients will be discharged home safely the morning after the procedure.
We embrace a patient centered approach to the delivery of medical advice and therapy: We actively involve the patient and family in the medical decision making process, providing an honest and full disclosure of procedural and therapeutic indications, benefits, alternatives and common complications associated with therapeutic options.
Management of abnormal heart rhythms is complex and requires a carefully tailored approach for each individual patient. Below is an overview of some of the more common interventions available for heart rhythm disorders at North Suffolk Cardiology.
